Iowa: Day 121
Quick update :)
Emily has been working at two separate jobs (Straavers True Value & Sanctuary Christian Book Store and Coffee House), and loving them! There have been a few weeks where her total hours were between 30-40! Both jobs are ok with Em taking time off for us to return to Michigan for Christmas - a HUGE blessing!

Iowa: Day 44
Emily and I are adjusting to a new life, in a new place, with NEW people.
The pace of life here is much slower and not as busy. We are loving that aspect...especially coming from what he had - which was pure BUSY.
We both decided to relish our new found un-busy-ness. Emily in finally having time to be the keeper and leader of a house, and me in having time to pour in to the lives of my small group leaders and my middle schoolers.
We are also trying to LISTEN. Listen to The Lord and hear what he has to say and LIVE it. We have a time every morning for devotions and prayer. We take this time very seriously. God has worked on my heart during that time. I get excited every morning to see what He will say to us through His word!
